FUN SUPER BOWL GAMES: Football Bingo
I have to admit, and if you know me you already know this, I usually watch football games for the food, friends and fun. I don’t know a ton about the game, I tend to cheer for the team that will end up losing and I ask a lot of questions that drive people crazy.
I decided that this year I would create a fun little Football Bingo game to play during the game to keep me a little more entertained! I’m so excited to play during the Super Bowl this year, we’re having lots of people over so it should be fun! I love the idea of starting a new tradition during the big game with some fun Super Bowl Party Games!
HOW TO PLAY SUPER BOWL FOOTBALL BINGO
Here are a few rules and tips on how to play Football Bingo – make sure to clarify everything with your guests before you start the game! I grabbed a bag of M&M’s to use as the bingo markers!
- You can ONLY cover squares when you see or hear things said during the game – not commercials or halftime!
Play is simple. Give everyone bingo markers or stampers like these and have them cover squares when they see or hear those items during the game. When someone gets five across – horizontal, vertical, or diagonal – they win a prize. Easy Peasy!

How to play football bingo
Ok, so this football bingo game is a lot of fun with a large group! Print out the free printable BINGO game day cards PDF as many times as you need to for the number of people you expect to play. This is a set of 4 cards so do the math and get to printing! Cut out each printable game day bingo card, shuffle, and hand them out at random, along with an M&M candies fun-size packas bingo card markers.
Before the game starts, explain to guests that you’ll be playing bingo while watching the game. The football in the center of the card is your free space. As the football game commences, there will inevitably be a kickoff, a field goal, some touchdowns, a flag, a fumble, etc. Players should place a candy on the corresponding box as it happens in the game. You can choose how you want to select winners in advance. It could be one rows/column filled, an X on the football bingo card, or even a blackout, or filling up the whole card. I play blackout so the game lasts a little longer, but it’s totally up to you!

These are totally perfect to use as Super Bowl bingo cards, they make a really fun football party bingo game! This game is pretty easy, as I wanted it to be something that both kids and adults could play together. I chose common football calls and actions, so there’s no off the wall stuff that doesn’t happen too often in games (lateral/backward passes, hail Mary pass, an all-out brawl, etc). These free printable football bingo cards are not specific to any one team, so have fun, and GO TEAM!
